This menu item takes the application into a list of projects which can be sorted and filtered (see Tool Box below) and also contains other navigation features. One thing to remember here is that as filtering takes place the Project List could grow or shrink. Filtering can be done by Search (default no criteria), Title by alpha (default is all titles), List within County(Assembly District, Senate District)/Circle (default is County) or limit list by projects in Propositions (for now it's only Proposition 84). As soon as a choice is made in any one of these filtering choices the list will reflect that choice along with any other choices made. Keep in mind that any choice made at the core of them are what County, Assembly or Senate District the Yellow Pushpin is in, and what area the Gray Circle is covering, espcially when making a choice to include projects between County, Assembly or Senate District or the circle. For example, the Yellow Pushpin may be in a County without any projects in it and when County is chosen from County/Circle dropdown no projects are listed, but the circle may be outside the County and thus be in another County that does have projects and thus the list will contain projects.
Also, this list works well with the Project Map. Whenever something is set in the Project Map such as zoom level or distance of the Red Pushpin from the Yellow Pushpin, and last position of the Yellow Pushpin or Proposition Project Markers checked or unchecked these settings are kept going from Project Map to Project List and back and only change when they are changed in the Project Map. Note that the County, Assembly or Senate District layer and the Black State Park Markers will all be turned on (their corresponding checkboxes will be checked) going back into the Project Map.
The top of the Project List screen has a two accordions at the top that can be opened or closed. The one labeled Stats that is closed by default contains the Textbox showing present layer and the Project Count. The second one labeled Tool Box and is opened by default contains all the features that allow the listing to be changed including Search text box with a Search and C! (Clear) buttons, Title by Alpha (dropdown), List Within (dropdown), Proposition (dropdown) and Topic (dropdown).
Further, there is interaction between the Project List and what is observed within the Gray Circle and Proposition Project Markers checked or unchecked in the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker on the Project Map. What is set in the Project List (Tool Box) in Search, Title by Alpha, Proposition and Topic will filter what projects are shown in the Gray Circle in the Project Map. Note on the Project List the County/Circle choice only affect the list on the Project List page not what is in the Gray Circle on the Project Map. As an example, if in the Project List Title by Alpha was set to "A" and there were projects that started with "A" in the title and all other filters we left as default you should expect to see all projects within the Gray Circle having a Title start with the letter "A". If some of the Proposition Project Markers were unchecked then their Titles beginning with "A" would not appear in the Gray Circle and you may be wondering where they are. That is when you have to check the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker to see what Proposition Project Markers are checked or unchecked. If it is unchecked you won't see them, if it is checked you will. Another example is when you choose a specific Proposition in the Project List you will only see those projects belonging to that Proposition within the Gray Circle on the Project Map even if you had other Proposition Project Markers checked in the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker prior to going into the Project List from the Project Map. In fact, only the Proposition picked in the Project List and it's associated entry in the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker on the Project Map will show and be checked if there projects for that Proposition within the Gray Circle. If no projects exist within the Gray Circle then no entry for the Proposition Project Markers will be observed in the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker, but the entry will remain checked or unchecked depending how it was last left. The only way to see other Proposition Project Markers or all the markers in the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker is to go back into the Project List and change the Proposition entry in the Project List (Tool Box). Again, the Project List page will trump what is set for Propositin Project Markers in the ST8Park(/County or Assembly or Senate) Picker and thus what is showing in the Gray Circle on the Project Map.
